The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name.

In the Bible, God is being referred to as several names depending on His manifestations at different times, we have times God is referred to God the provider, we have time God is called merciful God, we had time God is referred to as God of judgement, God called Himself I Am That I Am to Moses, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob know God as God the Almighty, again we have when God told Moses that by His name Jehovah the Israelites will know Him meaning God that does things with a mighty hand, but here we want to discuss the name of God as God of war that fights anyone who rise up to fight His children. 

From our text, we see that it is a song that the Israelites sang after God made Pharaoh and his hosts to perish in the red sea. This Pharaoh kept the Israelites in slavery for years and when Moses came to him to let them go he said he didn't know God and he would not let the children of Israel go, God used His mighty hands to deliver His people from the slavery of Pharaoh and while they were on the way they got to the red Sea, Pharaoh again started pursuing after them because he is a hard task master that doesn't want freedom for his slaves, I pray every hard task master that don't want us to be free from their bondage and holding us captive, the same hand of God that deliver Israel from Pharaoh comes out to deliver us today in Jesus name. Amen. 

At the red Sea, the sea was at the front, the fast and furious host of Pharaoh was coming behind, there were hills at the sides, no way to turn to then God commanded Moses their leader that they should move forward, the same hand of God made way in the red Sea and the people of God went through the red sea on dry ground, I pray every red sea situations that is overwhelming and we don't know how to get through it,the same hand of God that parted the red sea for the Israelites will make ways for us where there seems to be no ways in Jesus name. Amen. 

Pharaoh and his hosts tried to walk through the red sea too on dry  ground but the hand of God moved again and covered the hosts of Pharaoh and Pharaoh himself with the red sea. That was the end of the unrepentant enemy of the children of God and they never again brought the Israelites back to slavery or stop them from getting to the promise land God has for them. 

Today, God wants us to know Him as a man of war, those situations, those silent battles that are unrepentant like the host of Pharaoh and Pharaoh God wants us to see Him as the God who is able to conquer them all. The same way the Israelites sang for joy after the battle was conquered that is with same songs of praises we will sing in Jesus name. Because this battles we are troubled about, we will find them and we will see them again no more. Amen. 

This is more of an encouraging message to everyone that is worried and troubled, to anyone that is under hard and harsh labour and task master, God is saying our hard task masters will destroy themselves, their warfare instruments will be used against them. They will not fulfill their evil enterprise over us in Jesus name. Amen. We cease to be in their captive, we cease to be under their bondage, the hand of God takes us to the our promise land. Amen. The man of war fights all our battles and give us total victory. Amen. 

Prayers

1.  My God and my heavenly Father, I thank You for revealing Yourself to me again as the God who is a man of war and God that is able to fight all my battles and give me total victory, please be glorified in Jesus name. Amen. 
2. My heavenly Father, please arise to fight all battles I cannot fight by myself. Israelites couldn't face Pharaoh and his hosts but You a man of war rose up to fight for them and You gave them victory, please fight for me and give me total victory so much that I will never see the problems again. Amen.
