9 What do ye imagine against the Lord? he will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time.


Today, we thank God for another of God's promises to us that He has sent to encourage us. God is saying to us today that afflictions will not rise up again the second time. Because God will make an utter destruction of all that used to trouble us before. Amen. 

Nahum chapter one is God pronouncing judgements on the enemies of His children, God saw how the enemies afflicted them without showing mercy, and now it is time for God to plead the cause of His children upon all those who have troubled them in the past. And God is saying, they need not fear whether these people will rise up again to cause afflictions on them the second time and God confirmed it that He will make an utter end, which is total destruction on the oppressors and they will never be able to rise up again to cause afflictions on them. 

This promise of God is for us too as children of God. God fulfilled it in the lives of His children those days, He is still the same God, still doing the same things. He is assuring us too that He will make an utter end to all the afflictions or troubles we passed through in the past and they will never rise up again. Amen. Maybe someone is threatening to make it happen again, God says it will never rise again the second time. God has given us victory over the situation and we will never experience those stormy situations again in Jesus name. From this time forth it is bliss, happiness, songs of victory, peace all around us, blessings, abundance and progress in Jesus name. Amen. Maybe it even came as dream and you are scared, evil dreams will not stand. We scatter them in Jesus name. Amen. Even if they are a gathering of people planning evil against is, God says, they shall be broken in pieces, their evil counsel shall be brought to nought and their evil words will not stand in Jesus name. Amen. 

Do not be afraid, trust the promise of God and see His salvation that He will show to us. Wait and see the wonders God will manifest. God will never allow the afflictions to rise up again. That is His promise and we hold on to it. Amen. 


Prayers

  1. Gracious Father of light, thank You for Your promise today that afflictions will not rise again the second time, please accept my thanks and praises. Amen. 
  2. Gracious Father of light, according to Your words please make an utter destruction of all my troublers and put an end to their evil works in my life, do not let afflictions rise up again in Jesus name. Amen.
