Psalm 121:1-2

1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.

We thank God for another day to learn about God. Today we are learning that God is our helper. The Psalmist in today's Bible reading says He will lift up His head to the hills to get help because our help as children of God comes from God alone. That is the reason no one will have to put us in any type of bondage or slavery after helping us. And God wants us to always look unto Him for help and not man or smaller powers that are not God Almighty. 

Sorry to use a sensitive example, I want to use it because many people can relate to it as it is a popular story. We see example like mohbad, sorry for using the example, please pardon me, just let's focus on what God has for us, mohbad went to a group to sign him into their records, then afterwards they felt they have right into his life to control everything about him, there was rumours that guys in that record group were having sex with his wife, imagine such heartbreaks just to exchange for help. 

That is how the help of men is, in fact God placed a curse on it in the Bible that woe unto anyone who go to Egypt for help, Egypt was a powerful country in those days and a place for market hence there is money there, but as powerful as they were God will not want His people or His children to go to them for help. Whatever God will not do for you, let it remain undone. God knows going to Egypt for help will cause His children to bow down to their idols or they suggest that children of God enter some cult groups. These are things God is protecting us from. 

I see lots of popular gospel singers, I admire them and many times I wish to get close to them to boost my fame too. Recently there are confessions online how these popular gospel singers and even pastors have joined some evil cults to have the fame we are seeing them have. You see a new and upcoming person being publicized on their page and soon the person also has the fame, the confessions says they will not ordinarily do such for a literal person except those who have joined their cult groups and were molested sexually as men to men. So sad. 

While we wait and look to God for help, it usually looks like we are working without results but I tell you, there is result. And that way it's better of, because you won't have to lose the glory of God in your life to exchange for material things that can go away anytime. We see how new things are produced daily and the old becomes outdated, if because of something new you lose your integrity, what happens when it becomes outdated, God is always timely with His help for us. He never allow His children to be put to shame, we see how God came through for the Israelites at the red sea, God parted the sea for His people to walk on dry ground through the sea, and their enemies perished in the sea. God is still our very present help in needs and in trouble. Let us always look up to God who is on high for our needs. He will never fail us. Amen. Men's help is so little, they can't do more than they have in their hands but God has all the whole wide world, He can give us more than what we ask for and He won't add sorrows to it. 

Prayers

1. My Heavenly Father, I thank You once again You have taught me about Your love for me that only You I should always seek for help because Your help will not be to exchange for something painful to me like the help of men who always take away peace of mind, joy, virtues and replace with regrets and sadness, and even slavery for whatever help they render. 
2. My Heavenly Father, please help me always to always seek Your help for my lifting, blessings and even protection and healing. Don't let me go and put myself under the bondage of any pastor or prophets because I need healing, wealth or fame. I am not saying God didn't send them or maybe they can't pray for us, but many of these pastors today make people see them as the one who has healed people who come to them hence they do anything these pastors say even if it is totally against the word of God. Imagine pastor telling church members to drink water containing his spit for healing, that is the pastor already doing it, even if he says the blood of Jesus inside the water with his spit, God will not do that, that is nothing but slavery already, you can't even give spit to your children, if a pastor makes you do that you are in slavery, or prophets who ask members to roll in the dirty floor to get pregnant, God will not make you do this. Stop seeking help from men. God please help me to always seek Your help which I won't have to be downgraded or pulled down or dragged in the mud before having it. God help me to be contented with the growth that comes with Your help, God's help always look bit by bit hence the person seeing it thinks there is no progress but in reality there is progress. It's after a while the whole growth becomes very visible when you compare it to the past. Just as a new born baby needs time to grow to an adult. That is how God works, God is a master planner, God does not do magic, God makes things happen with the rightful process and progress. Help me God, I say today that I will continue to wait on Your help. Amen.
