5 I am the Lord, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:

Today God is assuring us about Himself. God is telling us that there is none like Him. God is telling us that there is no other god beside Him. All other gods are the works of men. God is the only God. 

Even though pastors nowadays don't put people's attention to see the greatness of God, nowadays many pastors are pointing people's attention on themselves thereby they stopped magnifying God before people. But here in this our group that we want to raise up the banner of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we are magnifying God here and we are pointing people's attention to God, the Bible, which is the word of God. Everything God has said concerning Himself is what we are preaching here. Today God is showing off whom He is as the only God to us His children. Let us accept it because it is true. No need to go after other gods anymore. Cease to search for freedom and miracles from small gods or human beings. Anything God will not do, let it remain undone. No other power or gods can do it, even if they do it, it is with sorrows, it is with hard labour and lack of rest. That is why your pastors after they have claimed to be the ones who gave you a miracle, they expect that you start sowing seeds to them, some demand your your lands, houses, and salary to pay for what they have done for you. This is what happens when you shift your attention from God and seek men to solve your issues for you. Notwithstanding I am not saying don't give to people, I am just saying if your attention is on people as the ones who did it for you then you will never be free from their bondage. So today God is pointing out attention to Himself as the only One who we should look up to for the solution to our problems.

 There was a testimony of someone who said after she has waited for child from God for many years and she didn't receive, she went to herbalist house and they gave her children. Then she concluded in her testimony that if we are praying about something we should also try other gods that we should not wait on God alone because sometimes God doesn't answer. Hmmmmmmm. I can just imagine what might be going through the minds of other people that hear such words. You see, this is the reason for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the church of God. The pastors and every minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ are supposed to continually teach us about things that will continue to strengthen our faith in God. Maybe that woman attends one of these churches that all they do in church is to ask God for financial prosperity without reminding people of whom God is. We see in the Bible about Job, he said though God slay him, he will still continue to trust in God. We see Abraham, God promised to bless his son yet that same son he waited for the promise of God for 25 years before having him, he was ready to sacrifice him to God without any argument, these are men of faith we should take after not merchandise God as if all about God is to give us riches of this world. Nobody leaves the earth with any of the riches acquired here, so it's too shallow to only see God as the God of money alone. God wants to be our God even after this world, in eternity. The churches they only point your attention to worldly riches are honouring god of mammon, our God is not mammon. He is the I Am That I Am. So if you are passing through any situation that you have prayed and results are not forthcoming, continue to wait on God. Three times, Paul the apostle prayed that God would remove the thorn in his flesh but every time God said His grace is sufficient for him because His strength is made perfect in our weaknesses. And we see this same Paul said he has fought a good fight and there is a crown prepared for him in heaven. That is someone we can emulate his faith and walk with God. Our God can do all things but if He choose not to do it then as children of God we should let it be, don't go after other gods to pull any miracle to ourselves, God is all sufficient. He alone is God. Amen. 

Prayers

1. Great God the I AM THAT I AM, I thank You this day for revealing Yourself to me as the only God that You are all sufficient for me and I need not seek other gods for solution to my problems. 
2. Great God the I AM THAT I AM, please help me to remain with You no matter the situation, give me grace to only look up to You for solution to all my problems, don't let me go away from you because of any nagging problem. Amen.
